The Journey Home

Thereโ€™s a certain pull that comes with the idea of “home.” Itโ€™s not just a placeโ€”itโ€™s a collection of moments, memories, and emotions, woven together like a patchwork quilt. For me, that place is my hometown in India, where narrow streets hum with life, the aroma of freshly cooked spices lingers in the air, and laughter bounces off the walls of small, vibrant homes.

I left all of it behind, chasing opportunities in a distant, developed land. The choice felt right then, practical even. But as the years passed, I realized that while I gained material comforts, I left a part of my soul behind. My hometownโ€”the soil, the people, the essenceโ€”called to me, but I was too distracted to listen.

Writing The Forgotten Garden brought back waves of nostalgia and reflection. It reminded me of a garden that once thrived in my childhoodโ€”a garden I abandoned along with my roots. Revisiting that garden in my mind stirred something profound: a longing to reconnect, to revive not just the garden but the parts of myself it represents.

This continuation is about that call, the journey back to oneโ€™s origins, and the healing that awaits when we answer.

The call of home

The winds of time carried me far,
Across oceans wide, beneath foreign stars.
I built my dreams on distant lands,
With golden towers and weary hands.

But somewhere deep, a whisper grew,
A voice I knew, yet scarcely knew.
It called me back, both soft and strong,
A melody Iโ€™d lost too long.

The streets I walked in childhood days,
Now shadowed paths in memoryโ€™s haze.
The laughter, the cries, the scents that stayed,
Their echoes formed a fleeting parade.

The garden waits, a patient friend,
Its story unfinished, far from its end.
The flowers wilted, the fruitless trees,
Yet hope lingers in the breeze.

I pack my bags, not just with clothes,
But with fragments of dreams, with humble oaths.
To tend the soil that shaped my name,
And light once more that tender flame.

Each step I take feels bittersweet,
As past and present gently meet.
The forgotten blooms will rise anew,
In colors bright, in morningโ€™s dew.

For home is not just bricks and stone,
But the seed of love weโ€™ve always known.
It waits, it whispers, it longs to see,
The part of itself that lives in me.

โœจ By Zoeb Ali ๐Ÿ“œ โ€œWhat if your dreams werenโ€™t just figments of your imaginationโ€ฆ but whispers from your subconscious guiding you through lifeโ€™s chaos?โ€”}

After a long journey of hardships, silent struggles, and spiritual awakenings, I found myself standing at the intersection of the seen and unseen. It was thereโ€”in the quiet moments of the nightโ€”that dreams began to speak to me. Each dream felt like a coded message, a gentle nudge from the inner self.

The boundaries between the subconscious and conscious blurred, urging me to document not just what I saw, but what I felt. That was the birth of this handwritten piece: “Journal of Dreams, Interpretation and Spirituality.”๐Ÿง  It is not about right or wrong interpretations, but a raw, unfiltered dive into how dreams can reflect real-life situations.๐Ÿ“– It is not a research paper. Itโ€™s a reflection. An offering. A journey.๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ It doesn’t aim to name or blameโ€”it aims to heal and make sense of the inexplicable. I write this journal with minimal research, using dreams as keys to unlock my thoughts. When the world fails to offer clarity, I believe our inner world still does.

๐Ÿ” Why this matters to you: In a world flooded with information, we often overlook the quiet wisdom that resides within us. If youโ€™ve ever dreamt something that felt too real, or had a moment of dรฉjร  vu that shook youโ€”perhaps itโ€™s time you paid attention.๐Ÿ’ญ What are your dreams trying to tell you?๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Are you brave enough to interpret your own soul?๐Ÿ–‹๏ธ Pen by Zee is more than just writingโ€”itโ€™s a journey of self-reflection, healing, and mindful exploration.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to follow along or even start your own journal of dreams. Spirituality #DreamInterpretation #Journaling #SelfDiscovery #MentalHealth #Mindfulness #InnerWisdom #WritingTherapy #PenByZee #ZeeVibe

Is Wrongdoing the End of the World? Overcoming Guilt and Finding Acceptance

Introduction: The Weight of Wrongdoing

Every human being, at some point in life, stumbles. Some mistakes are minor, easily forgotten with time, while others leave deep scarsโ€”on the self, on others, and on the fabric of society. When a person commits a sin, a transgression, or even a crime, the weight of their actions can feel unbearable. But does a single moment, or even a series of wrongful choices, define a personโ€™s entire worth? Is wrongdoing the end of the road, sealing oneโ€™s fate forever? Or is there still a possibility for redemption, healing, and acceptance?

Society, by its nature, often views individuals through the lens of their worst moments. A single misstep can overshadow a lifetime of good deeds, and judgment can be swift and merciless. This is especially true in an era where mistakes are publicly scrutinized, and forgiveness seems harder to come by. However, human nature is far more complex than a binary of good and evil. The person who has wronged and the person who has suffered are both part of a deeply intertwined storyโ€”one filled with pain, emotions, and the possibility of transformation.

For the wrongdoer, guilt can be suffocating, an endless spiral of self-recrimination and despair. They may wrestle with regret, self-hatred, and the paralyzing fear of never being accepted again. For the sufferer, the weight of betrayal and hurt can be equally overwhelming, leaving behind wounds that take time, and sometimes a lifetime, to heal. Can these two paths ever find reconciliation? Can accountability and forgiveness coexist?

Understanding the Emotional Turmoil

For the Wrongdoer: The Cycle of Guilt and Shame

  1. Guilt โ€“ The immediate realization of having caused harm can be overwhelming. A person might feel remorse, wishing they could undo their actions.
  2. Shame โ€“ Unlike guilt, which focuses on the act, shame attacks oneโ€™s identity. It creates a self-perception of unworthiness.
  3. Fear of Rejection โ€“ Many wrongdoers fear being cast out by society, family, or faith communities.
  4. Seeking Forgiveness โ€“ Thereโ€™s often an inner yearning to seek forgiveness, from the victim, society, or a higher power.
  5. Despair or Hope? โ€“ Some fall into hopelessness, believing they are irredeemable. Others take the path of repentance and change.

For the Sufferer: The Battle with Pain and Anger

  1. Betrayal and Hurt โ€“ Whether it’s a crime, a lie, or a moral failing, victims feel deeply wounded.
  2. Anger and Resentment โ€“ A natural response, but when left unchecked, it can consume oneโ€™s peace.
  3. The Need for Justice โ€“ Victims want accountability, not just an apology.
  4. The Dilemma of Forgiveness โ€“ Is forgiveness possible? Is it deserved? Can one move forward without it?
  5. The Struggle for Healing โ€“ True healing is not just about forgetting but processing the pain constructively.

Does Society Accept Wrongdoers?

Society tends to be harsh toward those who have done wrong, especially when the wrongdoing is public. Some people believe that those who have committed sins or crimes do not deserve a second chance. Others advocate for rehabilitation and believe in the possibility of change.

  • Cancel Culture vs. Redemption Culture โ€“ Are we punishing people indefinitely, or are we allowing room for growth?
  • Religious and Cultural Views โ€“ Many spiritual traditions, including Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism, emphasize redemption and transformation.
  • Legal and Social Reintegration โ€“ While laws provide consequences, should they also support reform and reintegration?

The Religious Perspective on Redemption and Forgiveness

Islamic Teachings on Repentance and Mercy

Islam teaches that no sin is beyond forgiveness if one sincerely repents.

  • Allahโ€™s Mercy is Greater than Any Sin โ€“ โ€œSay, โ€˜O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.โ€™โ€ (Qurโ€™an 39:53)
  • The Concept of Tawbah (Repentance) โ€“ Sincere repentance requires remorse, stopping the wrongdoing, and committing to change.
  • Justice and Forgiveness โ€“ Islam balances justice with forgiveness, encouraging victims to forgive if possible but also upholding their right to justice.

Christianity: The Power of Grace

Christianity emphasizes grace and redemption.

  • The parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) illustrates Godโ€™s boundless mercy.
  • Forgiveness is a central teaching: โ€œIf you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.โ€ (Matthew 6:14)

Buddhism: The Path of Transformation

Buddhism teaches that actions (karma) shape our future but also that transformation is always possible.

  • Mindfulness and self-awareness help in breaking the cycle of wrongdoing.
  • Forgiveness is seen as essential for inner peace.

How to Overcome Guilt and Move Forward

For the Wrongdoer: Steps Toward Redemption

  1. Acknowledge and Accept Responsibility โ€“ Own up to the mistake without justifying it.
  2. Sincere Repentance โ€“ Apologize, not just in words but through actions.
  3. Make Amends Where Possible โ€“ Seek to repair the harm caused.
  4. Commit to Change โ€“ Reflect, learn, and take concrete steps toward self-improvement.
  5. Seek Spiritual or Emotional Guidance โ€“ Connect with faith, therapy, or community support.
  6. Forgive Yourself โ€“ Self-forgiveness is crucial for moving forward.

For the Sufferer: Steps Toward Healing

  1. Acknowledge the Hurt โ€“ Donโ€™t suppress emotions; process them healthily.
  2. Set Boundaries โ€“ Forgiveness does not mean tolerating further harm.
  3. Seek Justice if Needed โ€“ Healing doesnโ€™t require ignoring justice.
  4. Find Support โ€“ Talk to a trusted friend, counselor, or spiritual guide.
  5. Consider Forgiveness for Your Own Peace โ€“ Even if reconciliation is impossible, letting go of anger can be freeing.

A Thought-Provoking End: Where Do We Go from Here?

Wrongdoing is not the end of the world, but it does require a conscious effort to heal, change, and grow. Both wrongdoers and those who suffer from their actions face emotional turmoil, yet healing is possible through accountability, repentance, and forgiveness.

Questions for Reflection:

  1. Do you believe in second chances? Why or why not?
  2. What role should society play in rehabilitating those who have done wrong?
  3. How do you personally navigate forgiving someone who has hurt you?
  4. If youโ€™ve made mistakes in the past, what steps helped you move forward?
  5. Can justice and mercy coexist, or are they in opposition?

Letโ€™s discuss in the comments and explore different perspectives!

First thing I want to do when new year 2025 begins

Hi my Writing and Reading Family. This is a raw blog I am writing today while I prepare and plan for new year and what I want to do in the New Year.

I wish to fundraise for KiwiHarvest https://www.kiwiharvest.org.nz/ through the collection and resale of unwanted items. This could be small electronic items or kitchenware in fair resalable condition.

In doing so I have to work on below steps. What would be your suggestion to someone who has not done something relatively big like this. I have done some smaller fundraising before but this is going to be a very different one for me. I am reaching out to ask for help either with advise or any feedback you have.

1. Define my Campaign Objectives

  • Primary Goal: Raise funds for KiwiHarvest by selling donated items.
  • Secondary Goals: Promote awareness about KiwiHarvest and encourage sustainable practices like recycling and reusing.

2. Plan the Campaign Timeline

  • Duration: Decide how long the campaign will run. I think I will give it a time of between 3 to 4 months
  • Key Milestones:
    • Start Date: Launch with a clear announcement.
    • Midpoint Check-In: Share progress and re-engage my audience.
    • End Date: Celebrate success and thank donors and supporters.

3. Identify Collection Points

  • Partner with local businesses, schools, or community centers to set up collection points.
  • Arrange pick-up services for larger items or bulk donations.

4. Create a Donation Guide

  • Specify the types of items I will accept (e.g., clothing, books, electronics, furniture).
  • Provide guidelines for item conditions (e.g., clean, functional).

5. Organize a Sorting and Storage System

  • Sort items into categories for resale.
  • Partner with storage facilities or use personal/volunteer spaces for temporary storage.

6. Choose Resale Platforms

  • Online: Sell through platforms like Trade Me, Facebook Marketplace, or local community groups. These are all local platforms to New Zealand, where I live. I am open for receiving donations from overseas if you are willing to help me with my goal.
  • Offline: Organize garage sales, pop-up markets, or partner with thrift stores.

7. Develop a Marketing Strategy

  • I would name my Campaign as: “From Clutter to Compassion”
  • Social Media: Use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to share my mission, showcase items for sale, and post updates.
  • Flyers and Posters: Place them in community hubs, libraries, and schools.
  • Email Campaigns: Reach out to my network and local groups.
  • Media Outreach: Contact local newspapers or radio stations to feature my initiative.

8. Engage my Network and Community

  • Volunteers: Recruit friends, family, or community members to help with collection, sorting, and sales.
  • Businesses: Seek sponsorships or partnerships, such as donated storage space or promotion through their channels.

9. Track and Communicate Progress

  • Share regular updates on the campaignโ€™s impact (e.g., items collected, funds raised).
  • Highlight stories about KiwiHarvest to show the importance of my efforts.

10. Celebrate and Thank Supporters

  • Host a closing event or post a thank-you video acknowledging donors and volunteers.
  • Share a summary of the campaignโ€™s success and how the funds will help KiwiHarvest.

11. Ensure Transparency

  • Keep a clear record of funds raised and items sold.
  • Share updates with donors to build trust and credibility.

I am also looking to raise some funds for myself to get a paid website, if you would like to be part of my journey towards success please do help me with what ever help you can offer for this charity initiative or for my personal website. I am only needing NZD 50 -100 to accomplish my personal goal. For the Kiwi Harvest Charity I have not set a goal yet.

WHAT IF

This is my poem about various emotions and feelings of failure and success ๐Ÿ™Œ and a journey of life. Please read and like, share and comment. Please do tell me what you like or dislike about this poem.

What If

What if success was a fleeting breeze,
Not meant to stay, but to teach and tease?
Would you chase it still with all your might,
Knowing the journey births the light?

What if failure was not the end,
But a quiet guide, a patient friend?
Would you embrace its tender sting,
And rise anew with strengthened wings?

What if setbacks paved the way,
To brighter dawns and bolder days?
Would you see them as stepping stones,
Not weights that drag, but seeds well sown?

What if goals were stars so far,
Glinting hope in the midnight’s jar?
Would you dare to dream despite the night,
Trusting effort turns dark to light?

What if achievements were just the start,
A fleeting triumph, a work of art?
Would you rest or push for more,
Knowing growth lies beyond the shore?

What if effort was the truest prize,
The sweat, the tears, the endless tries?
Would you cherish the toil, the climb,
Each step a rhythm, each stumble a rhyme?

What if you believed in your heart’s refrain,
That every loss feeds future gain?
Would you stand tall, steadfast and free,
Knowing the best is yet to be?

What if, dear soul, you chose today,
To walk the path, come what may?
With dreams as your guide and courage your sword,
Youโ€™ll find success your grand reward.

Mindfulness for everyday life

Hi All,

https://theleap.co/creator/Inkbyzee/

Mental Health Awareness Week may have ended, but our commitment to mental well-being continues! Iโ€™m excited to let you know that my eBook Mindfulness for Everyday Life is still on sale, and Iโ€™ve reduced the price by $1.00 USD to make it even more accessible to everyone.

As I was able to cut down the cost by having my own little online store where I would be only paying the commission per transaction and not have to pay a % of sale to the hosting website I could manage to reduce price and still commit to fundraise for Mental Health.

Whatโ€™s more, Iโ€™m still pledging to donate $1.00 from every sale to support vital mental health initiatives.

“Whispers of the Silent Cries”

In the land of green hills and skies so wide,
Where oceans kiss shores and rivers glide,
Thereโ€™s a shadow cast on the brightest day,
Where the dreams of children slowly fade away.

“Whispers of the Silent Cries”

Tiny hands that should reach for the sun,
Grasp only hunger when the day is done.
Their laughterโ€™s quiet, their hopes concealed,
In a world where empty plates are never healed.

Beneath the stars, their beds of stone,
In houses broken, they feel so alone.
The warmth of love seems so far to seek,
When all they taste is the bitter and weak.

We speak of futures, of wealth and might,
Yet turn our backs on their endless night.
Where are the answers? Where is the light
For those who hunger, out of sight?

In the heart of Aotearoaโ€™s grace,
Are children longing for a safer place.
Their eyes reflect the pain untold,
A story written in streets so cold.

Compassion calls in whispers deep,
For the ones who starve, for the ones who weep.
Canโ€™t we offer more than just a sigh,
When the tears of the hungry fill the sky?

With every coin, with every hand,
We build a bridge from sea to land.
To lift the little souls so frail,
To let their dreams again set sail.

So let us stand, united, strong,
Against a world where wrong is long.
For every child, letโ€™s raise a song,
And promise them where they belong.

In the land of green hills and skies so bright,
May we banish hunger from the night.
With hearts of love, letโ€™s lift the gloom,
And fill their world with endless room.

For every child deserves the chance
To laugh, to love, to sing, to dance.
To feel the warmth of a life thatโ€™s free,
And rise above their poverty.
