๐น Someone once asked me:โWhat do you get out of writing poetry, quotes, and fundraising for charities?โThe truth? I donโt get much in the material sense. But I gain something far greater:
โจ The joy of turning words into hope.
โจ The chance to give voice to those who feel unseen.
โจ The opportunity to let art serve a purpose bigger than myself.Thatโs why I wrote If Rose Could Talkโa poem reminding working professionals to pause, breathe, and remember their worth.
For me, poetry is not just about beauty, itโs about impact.I donโt just write for myselfโI write so words can bloom into kindness. ๐น

Have you ever noticed how the world seems to get louder every day? The constant notifications, the endless demands, the relentless pressure to do and achieve… It can be deafening, leaving us feeling disconnected from ourselves and yearning for a sense of inner peace.
I spent years chasing that peace in external sources: accomplishments, relationships, even adventures. But what I discovered, ultimately, was that the most profound healing begins not in the external world, but within. It starts in the quiet spaces, the moments of stillness where we can truly listen to our own hearts.
That journey of personal discovery is what led me to write “Healing in Stillness” a book dedicated to exploring the transformative power of inner stillness. It’s not about escaping the world, but about cultivating a sanctuary within so that you can navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience, clarity, and joy.
“Healing in Silence” is an invitation to rediscover your own inner wisdom. To nurture the wounded parts of yourself. To find strength not in the noise, but in the quiet, powerful voice within.
What if the key to healing isn’t found in loud conversations, but in the profound wisdom of silence? My upcoming book, “Healing in Silence,” explores the transformative power of inner stillness. Are you ready to listen? #HealingInSilence #InnerPeace #SelfDiscovery #Mindfulness

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?
Not all shops sell things. Some sell hope. Some sell change. Some sell the belief that kindness can be bought โ and given away โ in the same moment. If I opened a shop, it wouldnโt be just shelves and counters. It would be a beating heart wrapped in four walls,a place where each item whispered a storyand every sale became a seed of change.
I would call it โThe Giving Corner.โA space where books breathe hope, where handcrafted treasures carry the touch of their makers, and where even the smallest purchaseripples out to feed a hungry soul, lift a struggling dreamer,or plant dignity where the soil was once barren. In one corner, my words would rest โpoems, stories, and thoughts stitched with care, waiting for hands to hold themand hearts to carry them forward.Because to me, a shop is not a business.Itโs a bridge.
A way to connect your kindness to someone elseโs tomorrow.A place where buying becomes giving, and every transactionis just another way of saying,โYou matter.โAnd if you walked out of my shop, you wouldnโt just carry a bag.Youโd carry a piece of someoneโs hope.
๐ฌ Your turn: If you opened a shop, what would your walls hold โ and what would it stand for?#SocialImpact #Entrepreneurship #KindnessInAction #PenByZee
What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?
If I could ask for one changeโjust oneโfrom the words I share here, it would be this:
That we remember how deeply we need each other.
Not just in moments of crisis, not just when headlines remind us of suffering, but in the quiet, everyday spaces of life. The way a kind word softens someone’s day. The way shared stories remind us weโre not alone. The way a simple act of givingโwhether food, time, or listeningโcan be a turning point in another personโs life.
My blog isnโt just about ideas, itโs about connection. Itโs about building a placeโhowever smallโwhere we remember that compassion isnโt weakness, itโs strength. That empathy isnโt a luxury, but a foundation. That when we choose to lift one another, even in the smallest of ways, we are building something far greater than ourselves.
I want this space to be a quiet rebellion against indifference.
A reminder that even when the world seems hardened, you still have the power to soften itโthrough your words, your presence, your care.
What if we stopped seeing people as strangersโฆ and started seeing them as stories waiting to be heard? What if we treated kindness not as a random act, but a conscious practice?
That is the change I hope this blog brings.
To inspire a deeper commitment to helping one another, to showing up with honesty, and to creating community where no one feels invisible
Because the truth is: The world doesnโt change because of grand gestures. It changes because we choose, again and again, to care.
So let this blog be a place where care lives. Where trust is nurtured. Where hope is kept alive not through perfection, but through the simple, sacred act of showing upโfor one another.

In the delicate petals of a rose lies the story of life itself. Each phase, from seed to bloom and eventual decay, mirrors the journey of humanityโits dreams, struggles, love, and wisdom.
This collection of poems draws inspiration from the rose, a timeless symbol of beauty, resilience, and impermanence, to explore the stages of existence. Through its transformation, we uncover reflections of our own lives: moments of innocence, fiery passions, and the quiet grace of aging. Step into the garden of words, where every rose tells a storyโyours, mine, and ours.
First Poem: The Origin โ Seed to Bloom
The Seed’s Whisper Beneath the soil, where shadows sleep, A quiet promise begins to keep. A seed, so small, yet dreams so wide, Holds the world’s beauty deep inside.
With gentle rains and sunlit beams, It stirs awake, weaving silent dreams. A tender sprout, so green, so shy, Reaches upward to kiss the sky.
Oh, fragile life, so full of grace, In the hidden corners, it finds its place. The spark of hope, the dawn of light, Breaking the soil, embracing the fight.
The seedโs journey, so pure, so true, A reflection of me, a reflection of you. In every beginning, a tale is spun, Where life’s great story has just begun.
Hi, Iโm Zoeb Ali (Zee), a passionate writer who dreams of using words to inspire, educate, and give back. Iโve created three blogs, each representing a vital part of my heart and purpose:
Pen by Zee: My space for sharing mindful writing, poetry, novels, and stories that inspire and connect.
Charity with Zee: A platform for highlighting fundraising campaigns I lead for causes like Auckland City Mission, Kiwi Harvest, and New Zealand Mental Health.
NZ History with Zee: Dedicated to preserving and sharing New Zealandโs rich history to educate and engage readers.
Currently, I run these blogs on free platforms, but they limit my ability to deliver the high-quality, professional experience my readers and the causes I support deserve. Iโm starting this fundraiser to raise funds for paid versions of these websites.
Your donation will directly support:
Professional website designs to enhance content delivery.
Expanding reach to engage more readers and supporters.
Amplifying my charity efforts for greater community impact.
With your help, I can unlock the full potential of these blogs to inspire, educate, and make a difference. Every contribution matters, and together, we can bring this vision to life.
Below is the poem that I wrote in September 2024 when I was asked by a reader on another platform to write what rose would say to working class if Rose could talk.
Please do subscribe for more posts and if you can help me get a paid website for my writing project that would be most appreciated.

Hi my Writing and Reading Family. This is a raw blog I am writing today while I prepare and plan for new year and what I want to do in the New Year.
I wish to fundraise for KiwiHarvest https://www.kiwiharvest.org.nz/ through the collection and resale of unwanted items. This could be small electronic items or kitchenware in fair resalable condition.
In doing so I have to work on below steps. What would be your suggestion to someone who has not done something relatively big like this. I have done some smaller fundraising before but this is going to be a very different one for me. I am reaching out to ask for help either with advise or any feedback you have.
1. Define my Campaign Objectives
Primary Goal: Raise funds for KiwiHarvest by selling donated items.
Secondary Goals: Promote awareness about KiwiHarvest and encourage sustainable practices like recycling and reusing.
2. Plan the Campaign Timeline
Duration: Decide how long the campaign will run. I think I will give it a time of between 3 to 4 months
Key Milestones:
Start Date: Launch with a clear announcement.
Midpoint Check-In: Share progress and re-engage my audience.
End Date: Celebrate success and thank donors and supporters.
3. Identify Collection Points
Partner with local businesses, schools, or community centers to set up collection points.
Arrange pick-up services for larger items or bulk donations.
4. Create a Donation Guide
Specify the types of items I will accept (e.g., clothing, books, electronics, furniture).
Provide guidelines for item conditions (e.g., clean, functional).
5. Organize a Sorting and Storage System
Sort items into categories for resale.
Partner with storage facilities or use personal/volunteer spaces for temporary storage.
6. Choose Resale Platforms
Online: Sell through platforms like Trade Me, Facebook Marketplace, or local community groups. These are all local platforms to New Zealand, where I live. I am open for receiving donations from overseas if you are willing to help me with my goal.
Offline: Organize garage sales, pop-up markets, or partner with thrift stores.
7. Develop a Marketing Strategy
I would name my Campaign as:“From Clutter to Compassion”
Social Media: Use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to share my mission, showcase items for sale, and post updates.
Flyers and Posters: Place them in community hubs, libraries, and schools.
Email Campaigns: Reach out to my network and local groups.
Media Outreach: Contact local newspapers or radio stations to feature my initiative.
8. Engage my Network and Community
Volunteers: Recruit friends, family, or community members to help with collection, sorting, and sales.
Businesses: Seek sponsorships or partnerships, such as donated storage space or promotion through their channels.
9. Track and Communicate Progress
Share regular updates on the campaignโs impact (e.g., items collected, funds raised).
Highlight stories about KiwiHarvest to show the importance of my efforts.
10. Celebrate and Thank Supporters
Host a closing event or post a thank-you video acknowledging donors and volunteers.
Share a summary of the campaignโs success and how the funds will help KiwiHarvest.
11. Ensure Transparency
Keep a clear record of funds raised and items sold.
Share updates with donors to build trust and credibility.
I am also looking to raise some funds for myself to get a paid website, if you would like to be part of my journey towards success please do help me with what ever help you can offer for this charity initiative or for my personal website. I am only needing NZD 50 -100 to accomplish my personal goal. For the Kiwi Harvest Charity I have not set a goal yet.
