The Forgotten Garden

The Forgotten Garden

Beneath the fading veil of time,
A garden sleeps, once in its prime.
Blossoms danced in vibrant hues,
And trees bore fruits kissed by dew.

In my hometown, where roots run deep,
A soil of memories buried in sleep.
I left its whispers for brighter lights,
Chasing dreams in distant nights.

The paths of stone, the fragrant air,
The laughter woven everywhere—
All fell silent as years went by,
Left behind beneath the sky.

For what I sought in lands so new,
Were castles built from fleeting dew.
In chasing gold, I failed to see,
The wealth of love that nurtured me.

But wisdom blooms as seasons turn,
The heart begins its long return.
I yearn to walk that soil once more,
To heal what I let time ignore.

The garden waits, though vines may twist,
Its beauty shrouded in the mist.
Yet hope remains in every seed,
Awaiting hands that tend its need.

I’ll clear the weeds of all neglect,
With care, its splendor I’ll resurrect.
Each petal, each fruit, a story retold,
Of roots that grounded a soul grown bold.

And as the garden comes to life,
Its bloom will end my inner strife.
For in its growth, I’ll surely find,
A healing balm for heart and mind.

So one day soon, when wisdom calls,
I’ll break these self-made foreign walls.
Back to my garden, my soil, my place,
To find renewal in its embrace.
